Other merit scholarships are available for international students who meet freshman or transfer scholarship criteria. There are also other funding resources for international students and, in some cases, employment opportunities. Details on scholarships for students entering in fall 2021 will be available this fall.

Two #YouAreWelcomeHere scholarship awards are available to first-year applicants who are citizens of another country. You must apply and meet admission requirements for academic study at Ohio University, and you must submit the scholarship application by January 15, 2021.

Freshman Scholarships
Awards are only available to students who begin their studies in the fall semester. You must submit a complete application by the extended early action deadline of January 15, 2021, for full consideration.

Employment
U.S. immigration law strictly regulates the employment of international students. While on-campus employment may be possible, this will only provide a small portion of your living expenses through such employment. Further, the possibility of on-campus employment cannot be used to demonstrate that you have sufficient funding for your expenses. The full amount of expenses must be documented before a visa certificate can be issued on your behalf.
